Privacy Policy for Household Income Tracker

Effective date: August 16, 2026

RDMJ Apps (“RDMJ Apps,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides the Household Income Tracker mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how that information is used and shared, and the choices available to you.

By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign in using Apple or Google, we may receive and store:

  • Your name or display name

  • Your email address, including an Apple private relay address when selected

  • A unique account or authentication identifier

  • Your selected sign-in provider

  • Your household membership and access level

We do not receive or store your Apple ID or Google Account password.

Household and income information

The App stores information you voluntarily provide, which may include:

  • Household name

  • Household member names

  • Income-source names

  • Income amounts and payment frequencies

  • Gross or take-home designation

  • Hourly, monthly, annual, recurring, or variable-income information

  • Dates, recorded payments, updates, and related calculations

  • Household invitations, member roles, and access permissions

  • Records of certain changes made within a shared household

This information is used to provide income tracking, calculations, charts, sharing, exports, and related App features.

Diagnostic and security information

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify and correct crashes. Crash reports may include:

  • Device model

  • Operating-system and App versions

  • Crash logs and stack traces

  • Technical application state associated with a crash

  • Diagnostic identifiers

The App also uses Firebase App Check to help verify that requests originate from an authentic version of the App. This may involve device-attestation tokens and basic technical information.

We do not use this information for behavioral advertising.

2. Information You Should Not Enter

Do not enter highly sensitive personal identifiers into the App, including:

  • Social Security numbers

  • Driver’s-license or passport numbers

  • Bank-account or payment-card numbers

  • Login credentials or passwords

  • Complete home addresses

  • Medical records or health information

  • Information that could facilitate identity theft

The App is designed to track income amounts and sources—not to store identity documents, banking credentials, tax records, or other highly sensitive information.

Information you enter is provided at your own risk. If you mistakenly send an invitation to the wrong person or grant access to an unintended recipient, that person may be able to view or modify shared household information according to the permissions assigned.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create and authenticate accounts

  • Store and synchronize household information

  • Calculate income totals and estimates

  • Display dashboards, charts, summaries, and historical trends

  • Allow household owners to invite and manage members

  • Enforce view-only, editor, and owner permissions

  • Generate exports requested by users

  • Provide account-security features

  • Detect misuse and protect App services

  • Diagnose crashes and improve reliability

  • Respond to support requests

We do not sell personal information. We do not use household income information for advertising, credit decisions, employment decisions, insurance decisions, or data brokerage.

4. Household Sharing

The App allows users to share household information with other account holders.

Household owners are responsible for:

  • Sending invitations only to intended recipients

  • Selecting an appropriate access level

  • Revoking unused invitations

  • Reviewing household membership

  • Removing members who should no longer have access

  • Transferring ownership carefully

Depending on the assigned role, another member may be able to view, add, edit, export, or delete household information. Information exported, copied, photographed, or otherwise saved by another member is outside our control and may remain after access is revoked.

5. Face ID and Device Security

If you enable Face ID, authentication is performed by Apple through the device’s Local Authentication system.

RDMJ Apps does not receive, collect, or store your facial image, Face ID template, or other biometric information. The App receives only a success-or-failure result from the operating system.

Face ID, hidden-dollar settings, and automatic locking add privacy protections, but they cannot guarantee that information will never be seen by another person with access to your device or account.

6. Income Calculations and AI-Assisted Features

Income calculations are performed using information supplied by users. Calculations, charts, summaries, and projections are estimates and may not reflect taxes, deductions, irregular schedules, withholding, or actual financial results.

The App may provide locally generated help, structured income-entry assistance, or explanations based on calculations already produced by the App. AI-assisted features should not independently modify financial records without user review and confirmation.

Household financial records are not used to train advertising profiles.

7. Exports and Messages

When you export information or share an invitation:

  • The App may generate a CSV, PDF, text message, or other file on your device.

  • You choose the application, service, or recipient receiving that information.

  • Information sent outside the App becomes subject to the recipient’s practices and the privacy policy of the selected service.

RDMJ Apps is not responsible for information sent to an unintended recipient or stored in another application, email account, messaging service, cloud-storage service, or device backup.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses services provided by third parties, including:

  • Apple, for Sign in with Apple, Face ID, device services, and App distribution

  • Google Sign-In, when selected by the user

  • Google Firebase Authentication, for account authentication

  • Google Cloud Firestore, for synchronized App data

  • Firebase App Check, for service protection

  • Firebase Crashlytics, for crash reporting

These providers may process technical or account information as necessary to provide their services. Their processing is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

We require service providers to process information only for legitimate service purposes and to provide protections consistent with applicable law.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including:

  • Authentication requirements

  • Firestore security rules

  • Role-based household permissions

  • Encryption provided by Apple, Google, and Firebase during transmission and storage

  • Device-attestation protections

  • Optional Face ID and automatic locking

No storage or transmission system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or lost.

You are responsible for protecting your device, Google or Apple account, passcode, invitation codes, and access credentials.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Information is retained while needed to operate your account and household unless you delete it or applicable law requires longer retention.

The App provides settings for actions such as:

  • Leaving a household

  • Deleting personal income information

  • Deleting an account

  • Deleting an entire household when authorized

  • Removing members and revoking invitations

Account deletion is intended to remove the account and associated personal information from active App records, subject to technical limitations, shared-household rights, security requirements, and applicable law.

If an owner deletes only their personal account instead of deleting the entire shared household, authorized remaining members may continue to have access to shared household information. The App may provide notices and deletion choices related to this situation.

Information may remain temporarily in secure backups, diagnostic records, or service logs until those records expire through normal retention processes. Information previously exported or saved by another user cannot be deleted by RDMJ Apps.

11. Your Choices

Depending on App functionality and your household role, you may:

  • Review or edit your profile and household-member name

  • Correct income information

  • Change sharing permissions

  • Remove household members

  • Revoke invitations

  • Export your information

  • Leave a household

  • Delete personal information

  • Delete your account

  • Delete an entire household when authorized

  • Enable or disable Face ID, hidden amounts, dark mode, and automatic locking

You may stop using the App at any time.

12. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for adults managing household income. It is not directed to children under 13, and children should not create accounts or submit personal information.

If you believe a child has supplied personal information through the App, please contact us through the support page below.

13. California Privacy Information

California residents may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, and information about the handling of their personal information.

RDMJ Apps does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Requests may be submitted through our support page. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

14. International Use

The App is currently intended primarily for users in the United States. If you use the App from another jurisdiction, information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when App functionality, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Material changes may also be communicated within the App when appropriate.
